So, my CLS last night has broken down. And guess what that become the culprit?
Coil Packs! Noooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!
And now the car has been checked, and now i'm waiting with my fingers crossed, thinking about how many months i'll go without proper food. And then, my friend which is working for that dealer said "Well, aya, we got an E63 AMG 3 days ago. Did you want to see it?"
And i think "Well, why not". And yes there is one, in black, has done a massive 50k miles despite it's only 3 years old. And my friend said "Well, if you want this, if you include your CLS in your trade, you just have to pay 20k on this thing." And after a quick blast to my office, good lord the 63 is insanely fast, despite the ride is somehow a bit firmer than My CLS. But still, I absolutely love it!
So, 2010 E63 AMG with bajillion miles for 20k+'2008 CLS550. NP?
*Don't forget cars in my place is about 2-3 times more expensive than the US.

Never have I seen a hood open this much.

50,000 miles isn't that bad, but I have a thing for the CLS so I'd just repair that.

I am amazed at how these depreciate. 50k miles is not that much, but on a late model AMG (or M or RS) you'd think it has been to the moon and back and is near death.

That's standard on a Mercedes.
If you look at the hinges, there are one or two levers which can be pushed to allow the hood to rise to almost vertical from the body. It's the service position.

While the CLS is a stand-out nice looking car that everyone will be looking at, the E63 is a real sleeper. I'd go for it if the mechanic aspects of the car checks out. It's good to experience as much different cars as possible as an automotive enthusiast.

Check NetStar. Try to make friends with a Benz technician because i dont know if they'll just show you the data. Netstar has comprehensive data on literally everything about the car

NP if the PPI checks out. A friend just bought a 2012 E63 wagon - if it were available with a manual, I'd already own one.

Never really noticed that in the cars I've worked on, maybe it's just that I pull the hood off beforehand.

Yep. It really blends with the crowds.
Heck, i even thinks to rebadge that thing into E200 CDI just for the lulz if i bought that :D

Well, CLS is glorified E-Class in my opinion. And it's a bit impractical, because it has 2 very wide seats in the back but the roofline was low, so if you're taller than 6 foot you will have a bad time there..
But as driver's car that's amazing.

Well, it's a bit of shame mercs never made AMGs with manual, despite they have a badass manual.
*My granpa has the 190E with manual, and that's one of the best mercedes i ever driven, despite it's a bit slow.

I just never liked the coupe look. It's why I don't like the CLS, Passat CC, etc etc.

50k miles is not much on the M156, my C63 has almost 80k on it and no problems. That engine loves being alive to eat more fuel.
